If you have a Tiktok and an iPhone, you may be in luck as these devices are currently listed for up to $25,000 on eBay in the United States. According to a report in USA Today, over 2,000 iPhones are up for auction on eBay, with prices ranging from $100 to $25,000.
One listing on eBay is for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, “with Tiktok” for $10,000 and has over 1,800 views in just 24 hours. Another listing for iPhone 16 Pro Max mentions “Tiktok installation”. Some listings also mention other Baytedance apps such as Lemon8 and Capcut, which have disappeared from the App Store.
Most of these high-value listings have so far received no bids. However, the platform is full of low-value listings that seem to be gaining traction.
Tiktok was temporarily banned in the US and removed from both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. However, just one day later, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to revive TikTok in the country. Despite this, the app is still not back on the App Store and Play Store.
Android users have the option to sideload Tiktok, but iPhones in the US have no such provision. This makes it impossible for users who have uninstalled your app to reinstall it.
This situation led to a brief surge in demand for iPhones with the Tiktok application installed. These listings can quickly lose value once your app is reinstated in the app store.
