One social media user claimed that Uber charges Apple iPhone users more than Android users. A user shared a photo of two separate phones displaying different rates. While your Android phone is visible INRUber Auto ride is 290.79, as shown on Apple iPhone INR342.47 for the same ride.

One user suggested using Rapido, saying it was the cheapest. One user pointed out that the photo posted by Sudhir was originally shared by entrepreneur Nirali Parekh on LinkedIn. Sudhir clarified that the photo was taken from Parekh’s post, but the issues raised were genuine.

iPhone vs Android

Research shows that iPhone users tend to spend more money on apps, subscriptions, and luxury products than Android users. This behavioral trend could influence companies to charge higher prices for iOS users.

According to Sci-Tech Today, Apple iPhone users spend an average of $12.77 ( INR1,087 per app), approximately $6.19 for Android users ( INR527) per app. In-app purchases average $1.07 ( INR91) $0.43 for iPhone ( INR36) For Android.

Uber statement

Uber has released a statement regarding the high pricing allegations.

“Multiple differences between these two rides affect the price. The pick-up points, ETAs, and drop-off points for these requests are different, so the fares are also different. Uber adjusts the trip price based on the passenger’s phone manufacturer. ,” the company said in a statement.
