iOS 18.3 proves that Apple Intelligence is far from completion

In the larger scheme of things, iOS 18.3 goes down as a relatively peaceful update, and instead of developing new features on the iPhone, the existing functions are fixes and improvements. However, if you follow the introduction of Apple Intelligence, iOS 18.3 has taken a fairly large step to the evolution of Suite of Apple’s AI tools.

When Apple Intelligence debuted in the iOS 18.1 update in October, the supported iPhone owner headed for the setting and switched the switch to opt -in to a new function set. That’s not the case -starting with iOS 18.3, the function of Apple Intelligency is turned on by default.

On the surface, it may seem like apples have paid their hands and declared that the mission has been achieved. It’s nothing -even after iOS 18.3, Apple Intelligence remains ongoing work. Some AI functions are very well integrated into the iPhone Experience, but other features require more Polish language, and some promised improvements have not yet been released. Apple itself is easy to recognize.

Reasons why Apple Intelligence is not completely ready

The iOS 18.3 can draw attention by enabling Apple Intelligence by default, but in the software update, there are other signs that indicate that there is more work than the AI front Apple. there is. First of all, it is not essential to opt -in because the Apple Intelligence & Siri section can be turned off from the setting app.

Another thing is that many of the iOS 18.3 corrections I mentioned at the beginning of this article are related to the fine adjustment of Apple Intelligence. One of the aspects of the update is that it includes news and entertainment app notifications. Apple temporarily turned it off, as it turned out that many of the summaries equipped with AI were very incorrect.

This is not ideal for the manufacturer of the news app, which sees the articles that are incorrectly characterized by Apple’s AI, and not much confidence in other summary tools included in Apple Intelligence. Apple regains its functions wisely on the drawing board, which is an indicator of how to train some artificial intelligence before being ready to appear in the wild.

To be more positive, iOS 18.3 also includes existing AI functions and improves them. The other summary of the other AI displayed on the lock screen is displayed in a styled text, as in the case of a text message, and can be easily found at a glance. If there are 16 iPhone models, the visual intelligence function can now add events to the calendar app when turning the camera to a flyer or poster. This function can also identify plants and animals.

These are positive improvements, unlike the addition of changes to the writing tools in the iOS 18.2 update last year. To explain your change, Apple’s AI function will better control the textbooks and add muscles to a fairly relaxed writing tool.

This is the positive aspect of treating Apple Intelligency as a continuous development. Apple may introduce a new AI function, but does not do it after landing on a mobile phone. You are willing to return and correct what is not functioning or extend what is.

Siri is still on hold

The largest missing piece of Apple Intelligence Rolling is still Siri. Apple’s personal assistant has seen the first improvement of iOS 18 updates. But the most expected improvement is still coming.

Specifically, the conversation with Siri has become a little more natural since Apple Intelligence has begun to understand the context of what you are looking for by Apple Intelligence Introducing Fields in Field and understanding what you are looking for. Masu. Sometimes, the level of success is complicated, but you can see where Apple is improving.

Siri has other changes. This is a type to Siri, like a new animation flashing throughout the iPhone screen to indicate that assistant is all ears. If you want to ask a follow -up question, you can interrupt you when your assistant is regaining your answer.

Certainly, these are welcome improvements, but Apple has promised further. To do so, Siri is to pick up the recognition on the screen, so you can make proposals based on those displayed on the iPhone screen and provide answers. Siri is also a better adjustment by you because you will learn your personal context. And finally, Siri should be able to interact with other apps on a mobile phone.

A good news is that these changes will arrive on the iOS 18.4 update in the second half this spring. In other words, if you have the installed iOS 18 public beta version, you can try it immediately. However, since the release of Galaxy S25, the release of the Galaxy S25 has been eager to find out these functions since the new Galaxy AI function that defeated Apple into a punch was provided.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Brief

For example, you can use Galaxy S25 Gemini Assistant to execute Google or Samsung apps and Whatsapp and Spotify cross -applications. Thanks to that improvement, you can also provide commands that interact with multiple apps at once, check information online, and add them to memos as examples.

Furthermore, the new ONE UI 7 software executed in Galaxy S25 includes the final personalized information, future schedule, daily commuting traffic conditions, and other information based on past activities. There is a simple screen where the appropriate data is entered. I like it. In the early test, the short screen now looks quite naked, but I think it will be smarter over time because I will learn more about you.

It is not always important that Samsung reached these features before Apple. But that’s very raising the bars that Apple must implement them better than Samsung. And we are still waiting to see how it will bread out.

Apple Intelligence Outlook

Obviously, Apple Intelligence has created some interest between Apple users. When he reported his first quarter revenue last week, CEO’s Tim Cook pointed out that the sale of Aping was better in areas that are already available than areas where ApINGLEATION INTELLIGENCE is not yet supported. 。 In April, Apple Intelligence’s additional language support is likely to be ready to check what AI’s fuss is increasing.

Another reason is that Apple Intelligence has not been working, even if the AI tools are enabled with the latest Apple iPhone software. There are still some major features, and new markets remain to conquer.
