Apple’s first major iOS 18 update of 2025 could be an even longer wait as the company prepares a new iOS 18.2.1 update for iPhone users this month. The iOS 18.2.1 update is essentially a minor release that aims to fix bugs that iPhone users are facing with the iOS 18.2 version and also address security issues that could be dangerous for users. These details were reported via MacRumors, and actual information regarding the update has not yet been released.

So if you’ve been waiting for the iOS 18.3 update to be released this month, you may have to wait a little longer. In fact, there’s a good chance Apple will take it easy on the next version and perhaps deliver it near the end of January.

We’re hearing reports that a major update to iOS 18.4 is scheduled to be released between March and April. This means Apple could wait a few more weeks for the next version of iOS 18.2. The current version adds a number of AI features to eligible iPhone models (iPhone 15 Pro and newer) and makes major adjustments for everyone else.

In other iOS news, a new report suggests that iOS is an easier target for hackers than Android devices. When it comes to Android devices, there’s no doubt that millions of people are concerned about their data and how it’s used.

A report from Security Analysts at Lookout says Apple and its users are concerned because the iPhone is more accessible to hackers, even though Android sells more devices than the iPhone.

According to the report, iOS devices are highly preferred by the enterprise segment and are easy targets for phishing attacks. In fact, the Q3 2024 report even mentions that only 11.4 percent of Android devices were targeted by hackers, compared to 18.4 percent of iOS devices. People need to be careful what they access and open on official devices, as attempts to hack these devices mean data such as passwords and usernames are at risk. there is.
