YouTuber Nalini Unagar has made the difficult decision to stop creating content after investing over Rs 800,000 in her cooking channel ‘Nalini’s Kitchen Recipe’ over the past three years. The announcement comes as she revealed that she is not receiving any income from YouTube for her efforts.

In a series of posts on X, Nalini detailed her journey and the challenges she faced, noting that she is currently selling kitchen accessories and studio equipment. “I’m selling all my kitchen accessories and studio equipment because my YouTube career has failed. If anyone is interested in purchasing, please let me know,” she wrote.

In a follow-up post, Nalini shared about the financial burden of her business and said, “I invested around Rs 80 Lakhs in my YouTube channel for building a kitchen, buying studio equipment and promoting it.The return was… ?0 rupees.”

I was blown away by your suggestion to not quit YouTube.

Please remember. I have been dedicated to YouTube for 3 years and have created over 250 videos. However, I didn’t get the response I was hoping for, so I ultimately decided to stop making videos and deleted all of my content.

Her candid post resonated with many users, and the discussion about how difficult it is to succeed in the online content space quickly spread. Despite receiving encouragement from her fans to continue her career, Nalini explained the reason for her resignation. “I dedicated myself to YouTube for three years and created over 250 videos. However, I wasn’t getting the response I was hoping for, so I finally decided to stop making videos and removed all my content from the platform. ,” she said.

Nalini emphasized the unpredictability of online platforms, noting that “your ‘shop’ could close before you wake up the next day.”

The news has received a mix of sympathy and advice from her followers. One user commented: Good luck with whatever happens next. If you can’t continue anymore, it’s perfectly okay to move on. ” Some suggested that her video should have remained online, noting that the algorithm could work in her favor in the future.

This is not the first time Nalini has made headlines. Last year, she had a heated online exchange with actor Swara Bhaskar over vegetarianism and body image issues, further elevating her presence in the public eye.
