Elon Musk is currently paying close attention to the chip manufacturing sector, and there are strong rumors that he is considering acquiring Intel in the coming days for that very purpose. As soon as the rumor broke, Intel’s stock price soared and rose steadily, amid reports that other semiconductor companies were also eyeing the chip manufacturing giant.

Is Mr. Musk paying attention to Intel?

According to reports, there are multiple signs of the acquisition at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, and Elon Musk was one of the potential candidates. Qualcomm is also reportedly considering acquiring Intel along with GlobalFoundries, which could be an interesting sign for the chipmaker’s future.

AMD and Nvidia continue to be Intel’s problem

Intel’s current market situation is in a precarious position as it continues to suffer from a 69% loss since the April 2021 share price decline. In addition, the company’s foundry specialty division is also facing difficulty attracting customers. Meanwhile, a sudden wave of chip manufacturing is headed toward Nvidia, making it even more difficult for Intel to keep its business stable in recent days.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is an even more thorny issue for Intel in terms of sales in Asia and Europe, reports suggest.

FAQ:

Is Intel’s stock price rising?
Yes, as of the last few weeks, Intel has shown some good growth, especially after news broke that it could be acquired by a “mystery company.”

Is Nvidia a popular chipmaker?
Yes, Nvidia is a very popular chip manufacturer based in the US.
