India’s chief test pilot, Ajaymenon, flew a twin-engine Skoy SU-30 MKI fighter jet and admitted he is a huge fan of Russian aircraft.
The Sukhoi Su-30Mki is a two-seater, multi-roll aviation dominant fighter aircraft developed by the Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi and built by HAL. The Su-30 Mki is based on the Su-30 fighter jet, and the Su-30 Mki is equipped with thrust vector control and canard, and is considered the cornerstone of the Indian Air Force (IAF) combat fleet. HAL has played a pivotal role in licensing production and integration of indigenous systems.
Speaking to Russian news agency Tas about the Aero India bystanders of the ongoing military aviation exhibition in Bengaluru, he said that all Russian planes are reliable and serve their purpose.

He said there were no complaints from the Indian side regarding Russian planes.
“I started learning to fly fighter jets with the Russian MIG-21. So I’m a big fan of Russian aircraft. In fact, all (Russian) planes are good,” he said and quoted. It was done.
