Investing.com – Indian stocks rose after the close on Wednesday, with gains in and sectors.
NSE closed 0.48% higher, while the index rose 0.56%.
The best performers in the session were: maruti suzuki india Ltd. (NS:) rose 3.22% or 349.90 points to close at 11,208.30. meanwhile, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (NS:) added 2.49% or 74.90 points to end at 3,082.00. Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NS:) rose 1.66% or 59.85 points to 3,667.50 in late trade.
The worst performer in the session was Hindalco Industries Ltd. (NS:) fell by 1.58% or 9.50 points to close at 592.95. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (NS:) fell by 1.40% or 19.50 points to end at 1,369.00 and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (NS:) fell by 1.01% or 12.40 points to end at 1,369.00. It ended at 1,218.70.
Top performers in the BSE Sensex 30 stocks were Maruti Suzuki India (BO:) up 3.02% to 11,195.00 and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (BO:) up 2.31%. 3,076.45 and became Larsen & Toubro Limited (BO:). 🙂 Up 1.93% to close at 3,677.60.
The worst performers were Tata Steel (BO:), down 0.80% in late trade to settle at 137.00, Wipro (BO:), down 0.40% to settle at 300.80, and HCL Technologies (BO:), down 0.34%. It was settled at 300.80. The closing price was 1,911.80.
Until 1828, the number of advancing issues on the Indian National Stock Exchange exceeded the number of declining issues (694), and the number of issues that remained unchanged was 133. On the Bombay Stock Exchange, 2,598 stocks advanced, 1,205 stocks declined and 83 stocks ended unchanged.
The Nifty 50 option, which measures the implied volatility, fell 0.07% to 14.44.
Gold futures for delivery in February fell 0.00% (0.05) to $2,639.30 per troy ounce. In other commodity trading, crude oil for February delivery fell 0.19% ($0.14) to $71.72 per barrel, while Brent crude oil contract for March rose 1.16% ($0.85) to $71.72 per barrel. It traded for $74.42.
USD/INR rose 0.33% to 85.79, while EUR/INR fell 0.38% to 88.97.
Dollar index futures rose 0.32% to 108.28.
