Sudarsan, a 23-year-old batsman for Tamil Nadu and Gujarat Titans (GT), is understood to be on the fringes of the Indian Test team – he has already made his international debut in ODIs and T20Is – Syed Mushtaq He played only one Ali Trophy T20 match, scoring nine runs against Tripura, before heading to the BCCI National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Before his only appearance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sudarsan was with Australia’s India A and had a good performance with 21 and 103 points in the first match of four days, but zero in the second match. Sudarsan was one of five players retained by GT for Rs 8.5 crore (approximately US$ 1.1 million) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction held last month. The others were Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan.
