US-based Dell Technologies announced on Tuesday that it will provide key infrastructure support to India’s NxtGen AI Pvt Ltd to build the country’s first and largest dedicated AI factory.

As part of the agreement, the partnership between Dell AI Factory and Nvidia Solutions will significantly expand India’s national AI capabilities, enabling generative AI, agent AI, physical AI, and high-performance computing at scale across enterprises, startups, and government programs.

The company did not provide details about the plant’s location or when it would be built. Details of the project’s cost have also not been disclosed.

What’s in store for this deal?

Dell will provide the core infrastructure, including Vertiv liquid-cooled Dell PowerEdge XE9685L servers, to NxtGen AI’s new AI cluster to meet the growing demand for artificial intelligence as a service and massive GPU capacity.

This infrastructure will be provided through Dell Integrated Rack Scalable Systems, which are considered critical to India’s growing AI demands to scale its mission.

What makes Dell AI Factory special?

Dell AI Factory, in partnership with Nvidia, provides a full stack of AI solutions from the data center to the edge, enabling organizations to rapidly deploy and scale AI deployments within their companies.

Combining Dell’s AI capabilities with Nvidia’s accelerated computing, networking, and software technologies provides customers with a broad AI portfolio and an open ecosystem of technology partners.

How Dell, Nvidia and NxtGen AI will power India’s ambitions

With technology support from the comprehensive Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA portfolio, NxtGen AI can deliver advanced AI capabilities at speed and scale, providing artificial intelligence companies with a simplified and reliable foundation.

“By powering NxtGen with this advanced foundation, Dell will accelerate the next wave of AI development and innovation in India and ensure critical access to high-performance AI capabilities across the region,” Dell Technologies said in a press release.

“India’s rapid growth in AI requires a strong, reliable and future-ready infrastructure,” said Manish Gupta, President and Managing Director, India, Dell Technologies. “Dell Technologies is addressing this need through the Dell AI Factory with Nvidia, which is designed to simplify and scale AI adoption across industries. As a leading AI infrastructure provider, we enable this transition by combining storage, compute, networking, and software to accelerate AI adoption. Our collaboration with NxtGen brings these capabilities closer to Indian companies, enabling them to efficiently and cost-effectively deploy AI. This is another step in our efforts to power India’s digital future through secure and scalable AI infrastructure. ”

“India’s ambitious AI mission requires a foundation of secure, high-performance accelerated computing infrastructure to enable the development of models and AI applications,” said Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, Asia South, Nvidia. “Dell’s integration of Nvidia AI software and infrastructure, including Nvidia Blackwell GPUs and Nvidia Spectrum-X networking, provides AI factory resources that will help NxtGen accelerate this critical national capability.”
