Brazilian soccer fans were stunned when Volta Redonda defeated Fluminense at Taça Guanabara, winning 1-0 with a bicycle kick goal assisted by a bicycle kick.
Despite Fluminense being reduced to 10 men after Manoel’s red card in the 62nd minute, both teams struggled to progress in Wednesday’s match as part of Brazil’s Campeonato Carioca.
It looked like the game would be a 0-0 draw, but in a truly spectacular move, Volta’s Milanzinha hit an acrobatic bicycle kick into the back of the net, assisted by teammate Bruno Santos.

The crowd at Estadio General Laurino de Oliveira in Rio de Janeiro went wild as Milanzinha (real name Luis Carlos Paulino de Carvalho) scored, sealing Volta’s historic victory over their historic rivals. I made it.
The Volta will face Bangu Atlético Club on Sunday, while Fluminense will face Marica Futebol Club on Saturday.
