Elon Musk, a billionaire who is more active than ever on social media platform X, made an unexpected declaration to US President Donald Trump on Friday. “I love Donald Trump as much as a Straight Man can love another man,” the Tesla CEO wrote X.
Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., responded to laughing emojis, and users flooded the platform with jokes.

Another joke makes a lot when you have to say, “just as a straight guy.”
I say a lot when you have to say “just as a straight guy”…

At a White House briefing with Japanese Prime Minister Isba, Fox News reporter Peter Doucy had the opportunity to ask Trump about the mask post.
“Elon Musk said, ‘I love Donald Trump, and a straight guy can love another guy.” What does the first lady think about that? asked Doucy.
With his signature smile, Trump shrugged the question. “Yeah, I think she’s fine with that… somehow.”

Musk’s statement comes after he cemented his position as a major Trump alliance a few weeks after the 78-year-old returned to the White House. The billionaires donated more than $100 million to Republican causes, attended campaign rallies, and played an influential role in shaping administration policies.
Together, Trump and Musk emerged as destructive forces in Washington. In his first weeks of office, Trump issued an executive order targeting birthright citizenship and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.
Musk’s Government Efficiency (DOGE) has sparked controversy by gaining access to sensitive government records, including a federal payment system that distributes social security checks.
Along with the Doge of Mask’s budget cuts, the Trump administration has also launched an unprecedented crackdown on USAID. Almost all funding to agents has been suspended, effectively closing global aid and development programs. Staff and contractors have been revoked access to the agency system and are placed on leave or fraudulently. According to Democrats, USAID’s computer servers have been removed as part of the overhaul.
