Huma Qureshi says film industry will thrive if there is opportunity for all types of films
Mumbai, Nov 16 (IANS) Actress Huma Qureshi talks about the importance of creative freedom in the film industry.

Actress Huma Qureshi talks about the importance of creative freedom in the film industry. In an exclusive interaction with IANS during the Jagran Film Festival, she emphasized that a vibrant film industry will flourish if all types of films – big, small, mid-sized and independent – get a chance to be made. Huma added that filmmakers need to consider their audience while experimenting with different storytelling styles, as diversity in film strengthens the industry and provides a richer experience for viewers.

Huma Qureshi reveals that her role in ‘Jolly LLB 2’ has been drastically cut!

“Jolly LLB 3″ actress said, “We have to make films by observing the audience. We have to make films in different ways. No one can make films in the same way. Big films should be made, small films should be made. “There should be, middle-of-the-road films should be made, independent films should be made. I think when people have the freedom to make all kinds of films and people have the opportunity to see them, the film industry will be robust and vibrant.”Talking about playing a negative role in ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’, she said, “This is the first time in my life that I have played such a negative role. When I got the call for ‘Delhi Crime’, I was shooting for Maharani when I got the call, so my first reaction was, “Hey, he’s asking me to play a better cop. But he said, no, he’s actually offering you the role of the antagonist.”She further said, “It’s very challenging to play an antagonist, but it’s been a lot of fun. You’ll see a completely different kind of character while playing me. And since these two shows were back-to-back, I’m getting a lot of calls and messages every day just talking about the scope of both characters.”The show also stars Shefali Shah, Rajesh Tailan and Rasika Dugal. The crime drama premiered on Netflix on November 13th.
