Maextro’s first model, the Maextro S800, will begin pre-sale in November 2024 and will be available for sale at a price ranging from RMB1 million ($137,000) to RMB1.5 million. The Maextro S800 is expected to be available in BEV and EREV variants as well as in four-seat and five-seat versions.

Huawei’s Hima (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) Business will be holding a technology event on the Maextro brand within a week, continuing its Maextro S800 ahead of its official launch.
The event began at 2:30pm on February 20th at Beijing time, and Hama announced it today in his home country.
“The flagship of the era, the Maextro S800, encourages you to explore,” reads Hima’s poster.
Maextro is a new automotive brand jointly created by Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), targeting the ultra-luxury market.
Its first model, the Maextro S800 sedan, was announced at the Huawei new product launch event on November 26th, 2024, and has begun pre-sale. Its official launch date has not yet been decided.
The model is expected to be priced between RMB1 million ($137,000) and RMB1.5 million, and those interested can pay an intentional deposit of RMB20,000 to book it. Huawei said.
Last December, the Maextro S800 entered a Regulatory Phi Cut catalog with China’s Ministry of Industry, Information and Technology (MIIT).
Its EREV and BEV variants have the same dimensions, ranging from 5,480 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width and 1,536 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,370 mm. Both variants are available in four and five seating versions.
The Maextro factory was established in Hefei, Anhui province last December 16th. This is based on a previous JAC announcement, and JAC is headquartered in its headquarters.
Maextro is the fourth new brand Huawei created along with the local automaker, and is at the highest position under Hima Umbrella in Huawei.
The other three brands in the HIMA business are Stelato. Huawei was created with Luxeed Under Chery, a co-branded with Baic Group, Aito and Seres Group.
Earlier this week, local media outlet 36KR reported that Huawei and SAIC Motors will work together to create a new car brand that will be tentatively called Shangjie, the Chinese language, the fifth brand in the HIMA business.
