Elon Musk’s startup Grok AI is currently available for free, and you don’t even need to pay for X Premium to try out its features.

Grok AI is now a standalone website and app for users to try out AI features
The web version of the Grok AI chatbot is now available from Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI. This new version can be used by anyone without the need for an account on social networking platform X (formerly Twitter). This web app is also in beta and can be accessed at Grok.com. It has similar functionality to the iOS app, including creating images, answering questions, and gathering information in real time.
Grok provides various modes such as automatic, visualization, and search that allow users to interact with its results. With improved accessibility, Grok will be able to compete directly with other well-known AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
Grok Web version: How it works
As with the iOS app, users do not need an X account to use the Grok website. When a user clicks the “Sign in” button, they can choose to log in using Google or email, or link their X account.
Similar to the free plan, users who log in without an X Premium account are subject to similar limits, including 10 image generations every 2 hours, 3 image analysis credits every day, and 4 image generations every day.
Once a user is logged in, they can enable “temporary mode” by clicking on the ghost icon in the top right corner. Once enabled, the following notification will appear below the input box: “This chat is temporary and will not appear in your next chat.” Your history, or if used to train a model, will be kept securely for up to 30 days for safety reasons. There is. ”
Users will see a link to their chat history and a simple settings menu next to the ghost icon. You can customize the look by choosing between light, dark, and system themes at the bottom of the settings screen.
Grok has made its AI tools available to a wider audience by launching a free model and dedicated website beyond its initial offering for X Premium users.
In addition to providing access in environments where social media is restricted, such as corporate or educational networks, this move will satisfy users who prefer a targeted online experience.
