The Google DeepMind Scholarship Program facilitates access to higher education by supporting partner universities’ efforts to build stronger, more inclusive AI communities and bring broader experience in AI and AI-adjacent fields. The program supports talented students from underrepresented groups and those with limited financial resources to pursue graduate studies and careers in AI.

Each Google DeepMind Scholar becomes part of a community of future AI experts. Scholars will receive:
A fully funded scholarship (up to two years) for a graduate degree at a partner university. Benefits to cover housing and living expenses. We will subsidize your travel and moving expenses to attend a partner university. Access to AI-related conferences and Google DeepMind events. Insights and guidance from Google DeepMind mentors.
qualification
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be admitted to a specific graduate program at one of Google DeepMind’s partner universities. Each partner university sets admission criteria and nominate newly admitted students eligible for Google DeepMind scholarships.

In 2025, Stellenbosch University will directly offer and manage master’s scholarships funded by Google DeepMind.
