GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s cloud streaming service that lets you play your PC games on your GeForce RTX 4080-powered device, is currently “sold out” in some regions. If you’re wondering why cloud gaming subscription services are sold out, it appears NVIDIA is running out of cloud gaming capacity, which shows the service’s growing popularity.
That hasn’t stopped the company from expanding GeForce NOW’s reach. At CES 2025, we learned that Steam Deck’s native app will be coming later this year and will support games up to 4K 60 FPS when connected to a TV. However, at this time, many gamers are unable to sign up for the service’s free and performance tiers, and Ultimate Day Pass is also currently unavailable.
Although NVIDIA has not released a statement confirming the capacity issue, it appears that capacity is still an issue. Recently, the company introduced a monthly cap of 100 hours for all subscribers.
Beyond “sold out,” NVIDIA also announced new game releases for the service last week, and support for mixed reality and VR headsets like Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 is starting to roll out.
PC gamers wearing headsets can play games on a large virtual display using RTX technologies like ray tracing and DLSS (where available). One of the supported games, Marvel Rivals, has proven to be a big hit on Steam, and GeForce NOW players can now stream the first season of the game.
In terms of new game support this week, the SMITE 2 open beta is available to play – alongside:
Hyper Light Breaker (new release on Steam, January 14th) Aloft (new release on Steam, January 15th) Assetto Corsa EVO (new release on Steam, January 16th) Generation Zero (Available on Xbox, PC Game Pass) HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2 – Turbocharged (Available on Xbox, PC Game Pass) SMITE 2 (Steam) Voidrowt (Steam)
