– Watches: Rolexes are often counterfeited, and scammers have set up sites selling fakes of famous watches.

– Technology: Scammers use Apple’s name on fake customer service sites and counterfeit products, sometimes in conjunction with unrelated brands.

By imitating such trusted brands and offering unbelievable deals, online hackers create convincing traps aimed at stealing personal information and money.

How to stay safe

To stay safe, consumers should check URLs, look for signs of a secure website (such as https://), and be wary of sites offering discounts that seem too good to be true.

Scammers often use brand names such as Adidas, Yeezy, Louis Vuitton, Apple, and Rolex to trick shoppers. To stay safe, always buy from trusted sources when shopping online.
