Fashion Week look approved by five editors

I finally wanted to wear some of my important pieces, leading up to New York Fashion Week. Since last season, we have been looking at the trends of Spring 2025. At Bazaar, I’ve been building my wish list for a few months now, as there’s a fresh look spinning cast that goes in and out of fashion closets for photography.

Recently I have been leaning towards cozy textures for winter, but I’m excited to throw away some of the heavier layers, even if it’s February depth. Transitional jackets are the perfect starting point. There are plenty of good bombers and oversized blazers out there right now, giving you plenty of room to put your sweater down while it’s still cold, but when spring finally hits you’ll look fresh for yourself. You can also stack the bomber and blazer together, taking clues from Saint Laurent’s Spring 2025 collection.

The utility was another important point from the spring show. The cargo pants are a little higher. This is the perfect alternative to trousers. (Bottega makes the most dreamy pair!) As for fresh styling points, Miu Miu has created a powerful case this season by wearing the piece in a non-traditional way. A scarf tied to my neck.

Last week I went shopping for these ideas at Kiruna Zabete’s store in Soho. Read on to see all the important pieces I’m excited about, and how to style five look styles that I wear throughout Fashion Week.

St. Laurent creates the perfect menswear inspired blazer. Of course, it’s an investment, but frankly, I think it’s one of the only blazers you need in your closet. That works well with the top handle bag. The biggest part of Kite’s mape bag is that it closes the zippers. Classic style with maximum utility – what can you ask for? When it comes to black jeans, the high-waisted bootcuts seal the deal on any look, regardless of the season. These have a bit of stretch (it’s great for comfort!) and stretches any person.

Such an oversized shirt from Bottega is always a good idea, especially if you have textures. It’s the perfect layer piece – pop some heat tech for warmth! (You can achieve a similar look with a lightweight tweed jacket like COS.) Cardigan sweaters have always been the best layered piece, but recently I’ve been mine tied around my neck like a scarf I wanted to wear it. Because of this loose look, I love the low-haired hobo bag. This from Kite feels high and relaxed.

One of my favorite ways to wear an evening jacket is with a top with jeans. It feels like the coolest spin on an otherwise dressed-up blazer. The House of Dagmar really nailed the silhouette here. The square neckline not only looks like the 90s in the chicest way possible, but is streamlined in a way that makes dressing up or down easier. To balance the silhouette to a minimum, add statement earrings.

Cargo pants are a wardrobe staple worth investing in, and bottega beta is a dream. I love wearing them as an alternative to transitional pants. They look high in boots in winter and easy in sandals in spring. Add a statement belt to dress them up a bit and take advantage of another trend. Accessories have had a big moment on the runway recently. It’s a smart purchase as it can be worn all year round. (I like this one too, Madewell’s. Prominent hardware gives that extra pop.)

One of the best transition jacket options is the bomber, and Sacai has a long history of reinventing shapes in creative ways. This jacket claims to be white in winter, but can also be worn all summer when you need a jacket for a refreshing night. ECRU’s frable starter bag leans against a palette of snow to balance the utility style of the jacket. To complement the zipper hardware, the grooved silver hoop makes this look a little more talented. Finish things with raw denim and make this feel a bit dressed up.
