The Golden Globe Awards have always been more than just a celebration of excellence in film and television, they have also been a global stage for fashion, setting the tone for years to come. Every year, the red carpet transforms into a runway, showcasing a winning combination of bold statements, timeless classics, and cultural statements. This year is no exception, with shimmering golden gowns taking center stage, statement necklaces elevating ensembles, and vintage-inspired gloves making a glamorous return. From chic short cuts to classic ponytails, hair has gone big this year, adding variety to evening looks. Indian designers have garnered attention for their artistry, with A-list celebrities proudly wearing their creations, blending craftsmanship and high fashion. Host Nikki Glazer stunned in a Prabal Gurung 3D floral dress, while filmmaker Payal Kapadia brought Indian pride to the red carpet in a sleek and elegant jumpsuit by Payal Khandwala. Here are some of the evening’s hottest trends.

Everything that shines is gold

Golden ensembles took center stage at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, with several celebs showing off their glowing hues in eye-catching dresses. Mindy Kaling exuded glamor in a strapless gold dress adorned with silver embellishments by Ashi Studio, which she accessorized with diamond drop earrings and soft waves. The evening’s host, Nikki Glaser, epitomized modern sophistication in a custom Prabal Gurung design featuring a dramatic plunging bustier top and draped skirt accented with floral print. Eiza Gonzalez stunned in a shimmering Gucci creation, showing off her structured square neck, sleek floor-length silhouette and backless elegance. Even Cate Blanchett reimagined the Louis Vuitton dress she first debuted at Cannes, now featuring a bubble-hemmed bodice and intricate beadwork. Together these bright appearances lit up the night.

The world’s leading ladies sparkled in dazzling jewelry, elevating their red carpet looks, and their necklaces stole the show. Anya Taylor-Joy steals the show in a pale pink Christian Dior dress with Tiffany diamond and opal statement jewelry, while Zoe Saldaña wears a Saint Laurent sweetheart neckline with striking Cartier high jewelry – Paired with a Nature Sauvage necklace and matching earrings. Zendaya, nominated for her role in Challengers, wore a burnt orange Louis Vuitton dress, accessorized with a Bvlgari High Jewelery platinum necklace adorned with over 48 carats of diamonds and a Paraiba tourmaline ring. Pairing it with diamond stud earrings, she exuded elegance. Selena Gomez wore a Prada dress for the night, accented with a unique transformable diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.’s 2024 Blue Book collection.

Kate Hudson perfectly matched her midnight blue dress with a stunning sapphire Bvlgari necklace, while Anna Sawai sparkled in a Cartier ‘Honeymoon’ collar necklace. This double-sided masterpiece combines 18K white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds and 18K yellow gold. Pandora Global Brand Ambassador and Nominee Pamela Anderson wears a custom lab-grown diamond set featuring a breathtaking 66-carat necklace with matching triple drop earrings and a tennis bracelet boasting 225 diamonds. I was surprised when I put it on. The red carpet turned into a dazzling jewel extravaganza as each star showcased the artistry of their chosen jewellery.

Elegant gloves added vintage charm to the Golden Globes this year, with several stars embracing the classic accessory. Pamela Anderson exuded sophistication with satin gloves that perfectly complemented her ensemble, while Ariana Grande paired her Swarovski-embellished look with opera-length gloves for a timeless finish. Ali Wong made a chic statement with gloves that added flair to her modern outfit, while Kerry Washington made a stunning impression with dramatic gloves that complemented her bold and stylish ensemble.

Golden Globes hairstyles showcased a combination of bold transformations and timeless elegance, with short haircuts and ponytails leading the way. Emma Stone debuted a pixie cut, while Zendaya and Selena Gomez put a fresh, modern spin on red carpet glamor with chic short hairstyles that accentuated their features.
