Quadrennial tournament held between European Championships, soccer (soccer), and the European Football Association (UEFA) member countries. The European Championship is the second of the World Cup’s reputation among international soccer tournaments.
The first final match of the European Championship (at the time, known as a European Cup) was held in 1960 after the two -year preliminary contest between 17 National Football Club. In 1960, the Eur -Final Tournament was composed of four teams, but in 1980 it expanded to 16 teams and 16 teams in 1996.
