Wednesday is expected to be a busy Wednesday with several events scheduled.

First, French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to receive German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Meanwhile, impeached South Korean President Yun Seok-yeol was summoned as a witness at a hearing in the National Assembly regarding the martial law declaration case.

In India, Prime Minister Modi will interact with party officials for the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ programme. Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S25 series today. The first match of the five-match T20I series begins today in Kolkata.

President Emmanuel Macron meets German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The talks are expected to focus on preparations for the European Union summit scheduled for February 1 in Brussels, with topics including Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East expected to be discussed.

The meeting marks the anniversary of the Elysée Treaty and is a tradition of Franco-German cooperation. This treaty was signed between the two countries on January 22, 1963. The upcoming talks will underline France and Germany’s continued commitment to cooperating on key issues affecting Europe and strengthen the role of both countries, which play a pivotal role in shaping the continent’s future.

Yoon Seok-yeol summoned to National Assembly Committee

Impeached South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol is likely to appear before a special committee of the South Korean parliament today in connection with the failure to declare martial law, news agency IANS reported.

In addition to Yoon, 75 other officials were called as witnesses, including former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, former defense minister Lee Sang-min, and Lee Sang-min. According to IANS, the 18-member special committee was formed late last month and investigated Yun’s alleged rebellion until February 13.

Prime Minister Modi interacts with party officials at ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ program

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will connect with booth-level workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the national capital through the Namo application. The initiative is part of the party’s campaign efforts ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.

According to news agency ANI, the event will begin with the slogan “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot” (My booth is the strongest). Voting in Delhi is scheduled for February 5 and Prime Minister Modi is expected to address the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot program ahead of the elections.

Samsung to release Galaxy S25 series

Samsung today announces the Galaxy S25 series. The company is expected to launch four new models, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25, and the first Galaxy S25 Slim in the Galaxy S lineup.

According to Moneycontrol, the Galaxy S25 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch display and a 4000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It has a 50-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.

T20 India series begins in Kolkata

The first match of the five-match T20 series between India and England will be held at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

The key members of the Indian Test team are Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, while the highlight of the team is pacer Mohammed Shami.

Eden Gardens is known for providing batter-friendly pitching. Dew will play a big role in this match.
