The chatbot developed by the artificial intelligence (AI) Startup XAI and GROK owned by Elon Musk will soon be available to Android users as a standalone app. Apps that cannot be downloaded yet are listed on a Google Play store where users can register in advance. This follows the simple beta test period that some users can access apps. However, XAI has not yet announced the official release date of Android App.xai. XAI seems to be preparing to launch an Ansroid version of AI chatbot one month after the release of the iPhone GROK app. The XAI engineer also confirmed Android apps on the Social Media Platform X (previous Twitter).
In the post, the XAI engineer wrote: “The GROK Android app is open for testing in Australia, Canada, India, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. Access and try the Google Play Store. Become one of the first 1,000 users and feedback. Please share.
Android GROK app: What is expected?
Note that the GROK’S Play Store list can be used for free for the app, and there is no need to sign in to access the function. However, some users who need personalized experiences or users who want to connect AI to an X account may have the option to sign in.
It is important to use the GROK iPhone application that users can sign in via the Apple account. Similarly, the company can also enable Android users to sign up to the app via Google Account. To compare, you need to sign in for access to users in the chatbot web version.
Like the iPhone app, the GROK standalone Android app is expected to include functions such as text response, image generation, and real -time information supplied from X. However, it is unknown whether the Android app will support web -based queries.
It is also expected that this app will be equipped with a GROK 2 AI model. This is the same big language model that is used for both free and premium web versions.
