
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday during his visit to the US on Thursday. Musk was called “honor” to meet Indian leaders in response to a Modi post about X (formerly Twitter).
The meeting was held at Blair House, where Masks came with three young children. The conversation ranged from technology to innovation and increased its position in India’s international electric vehicle and space sector.
Musk, recently appointed by US President Donald Trump and heading the newly established Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been a strong supporter for increasing Tesla’s footprint in India.
Famous meeting on the first day
Before meeting Musk, Prime Minister Modi’s first engagement of the day was to American national security adviser Michael Waltz. For the discussion, S. Jaishankar Foreign Minister and NSA Ajit Doval participated in the event to focus on Indo-US strategic cooperation.
Prime Minister Modi later met with the US director of National Intelligence Tarshi Gabbard at Blair House. A few hours before he met Modi, Gabbard was sworn by President Trump as director of 8th National Intelligence.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday evening for a bilateral meeting with President Trump. This is Trump’s first visit to the United States since re-election.
