In the now-viral photo, the former New Jersey governor can be seen holding a half-eaten hamburger, with six more hamburgers laid out on the table in front of him.
Donald Trump used the mysterious drone controversy to troll ally-turned-critic Chris Christie. The president-elect took to his social media platform “Truth Social Saturday” to show the former New Jersey governor eating a McDonald’s hamburger as five drones hovered behind him to deliver more fast food. He shared an AI-generated photo of him munching on a meal.
Donald Trump mocks New Jersey Governor Chris Christie over drone controversy
The president-elect seized on the mystery surrounding the drone to mock Christie’s weight and implied that McDonald’s food could satisfy her appetite. The now-viral photo shows the former federal prosecutor holding a half-eaten hamburger and placing at least half a dozen more hamburgers on the table in front of him.
“Iranian drone psychologist debunked. We now know the source of the drone over New Jersey,” a social media user claiming to be the creator of the AI photo posted on X. However, President Trump’s post did not include a cheeky caption. This hilarious photo comes amid multiple drone sightings in New Jersey.
As mysterious flying objects are sighted across the country, lawmakers and citizens alike are demanding answers. According to FOX News, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy insisted the drones did not appear to pose a threat to public safety.
But on Friday, President Trump suggested shooting down the mysterious drone unless there was a reasonable explanation. “Mysterious drones have been sighted all over the country. Is this really happening without the government’s knowledge? I don’t think so! Let’s let the people know now, or shoot them down. !!!” he wrote in Truth Social.
This isn’t the first time the president-elect has mocked Christie’s weight. Trump got into a spat with the former governor last year after a rally attendee called his opponent a “fat pig.” “Sir, please don’t call him a fat pig. We want to be very civil,” the president-elect told someone in the crowd at a rally in New Hampshire in August 2023. He said while pointing.
Following Trump’s remarks, Christie criticized X, telling Trump, “If you had the courage, you would come to the debate and say it to Trump’s face.” However, the future president insisted on his social media platforms at the time that his comments about Christie were “respectful.” “I had a lot of respect for sloppy Chris Christie today in New Hampshire,” he wrote.
