After India unfortunately lost 1-3 to Australia in the border and Gavaskar trophy, the Indian Cricket Management Committee (BCCI) is a 10-point disciplinary guidelines aimed at addressing important concerns within the team has been introduced. Within the command, the main focus is on players returning to domestic cricket to regain their form. Former Indian cricketer Shikal Dhawan shared his views on the issue, not only supporting the idea, but also highlighted the need to effectively manage the workload of players.

Dhawan agreed to play an important role in helping domestic cricket shape players, especially after injuries and poor performance.

“Absolutely, you should go and play,” Dhawan said, speaking to Annie alone.

“If someone comes back from an injury, they have to prove match fitness in domestic cricket. For example, he is totally domestic to prove his fitness before returning to domestic cricket. He played the season, he added.

However, he also pointed out the need to balance game time with ample rest.

“If a player is feeling unwell, yes, domestic cricket is the best way to get back to rhythm, but someone has just finished a fierce international tour and has a five-day gap before the next tour. If you can play with that short break, it’s important to affect his freshness,” he said.

The introduction of these new rules also led to speculation about potential internal conflicts within the team, particularly with Gautam Gambhir taking over as head coach. One of the guidelines highlighted improved teamwork, fewer support staff, and restrictions on families traveling with teams.

“This happened before,” Dhawan said.

“These rules have also existed in the past. There have always been restrictions on how long a family can stay. After a certain period, they leave and players focus solely on cricket. ” he added.

One of the most discussed points in the new guidelines is the restrictions on wives that players will accompany during the tour. Dhawan acknowledged the importance of discipline, but he also emphasized the need for emotional balance.

“Cricketers have a very disciplined life. It’s important to have a teammate as it helps players relax in their comfort zone. If you’re always thinking hard, you’ll burn out faster. Dhawan emphasized.

India’s fierce defeat at the border and Gabascal trophy spent their place in the world’s Test Championship finals.
