Meta today announced the appointment of Dana White, John Elkann, and Charlie Songhurst. elected to the company’s board of directors.

Dana White serves as President and CEO of UFC®, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization and one of the most valuable and globally popular assets in all of sports. White is responsible for the overall strategic direction of UFC’s global business, which has more than 600 employees on five continents. Under White’s leadership, UFC has become a global sports powerhouse, hosting more than 40 live events annually in the world’s most famous arenas and broadcasting to more than 975 million households in more than 170 countries. . Throughout his career, White has received numerous industry and business awards for his influence and influence in sports. John Elkann is the CEO of Exor, one of Europe’s largest investment companies run by the Agnelli family. He is also the executive chairman of Ferrari and Stellantis. He joined the Fiat Group in 2003 and appointed Sergio Marchionne as CEO in 2004, and together they successfully turned the business around. The company later merged with Chrysler to form FCA and in 2021 merged with PSA to form Stellantis. In 2009, Mr. Elkann founded Exor with the goal of “building great companies.” Its portfolio mainly consists of companies in which the company is the largest or reference shareholder, such as Ferrari, Stellantis, CNH, Philips, Christian Louboutin, Juventus Football Club and the Economist Group. In 2023, Mr. Erkann founded Lingotto, an investment management company focused on long-term and proprietary investments, wholly owned by Exor. He has also invested in both early and late stage ventures around the world and launched Italian Tech Week, which is now one of the most important technology conferences in Europe. Among his family’s philanthropic activities, Mr. Elkann serves as chairman of the Agnelli Foundation, a nonprofit, independent social science research organization with a focus on education. He is also a board member of MoMA. Mr. Elkann was born in New York in 1976 and graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, with a Science Baccalaureate degree from the Lycée Victor Duruis in Paris, France.

Charlie Songhurst is a technology investor who currently invests in over 500 startups around the world. He has extensive experience across enterprise SaaS, AI, and deep technology. Previously, he was General Manager and Head of Global Corporate Strategy at Microsoft, where he was responsible for partnerships and M&A. As part of this role, he led the acquisitions of Yahoo and Skype. Prior to leading corporate strategy, Charlie focused on the emergence of Google and the growth of the search industry. charlie received He holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
