A huge number of people visited Credai Fairpro 2025 at the Chennai Trade Centre to take advantage of special concessions announced by the bank for home buyers. Many women were among the visitors to Saturday’s expo.
R. Tharika, Senior Manager of Central Bank of India, said visitors were encouraged to use special concessions on interest rates offered to female home buyers during the exhibition. “A special concession for female buyers is the 8.1% interest rate on mortgages at Fairpro 2025. The adjustable rate on mortgages is 8.25%. There is no processing fee. The repo rate is low and the mortgages are affordable. The April repo change is also expected to keep interest rates low,” she said.
Over 60% of the questions were related to flats, while 40% purchased plots for the construction of the house. Seshachalam, assistant general manager of National Bank of India, said the concessions provided by the bank for FairPro 2025 would likely save home buyers around £7. He said.
