Top Congress leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharji, on Monday (January 13, 2024) accused the BJP-ruled Chhattisgarh state of terminating the services of 3,000 teachers.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted a video of the protest on her X handle and said it was an example of the plight of the country’s youth.

“There are 33,000 vacancies for teachers in the state and the Bharatiya Janata Party government, which promised to provide 100,000 jobs, has sacked 3,000 teachers. They are protesting and asking for jobs,” said Badla.

“Today, youth from all states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Chhattisgarh are protesting against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s corruption and unemployment. It has plunged the future into darkness,” she added.

In another post on X, Kharge held the Modi government and the Bharatiya Janata Party responsible for pushing the youth into a quagmire of unemployment.

“Watch this heartbreaking video from Chhattisgarh. See how women teachers are forced to protest in the bitter cold. Bharatiya Janata Party government sacks 3,000 teachers ” he said.

The Congress leader also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state of Haryana for “becoming number one in document leaks”.

“The latest example is the Rohtak MBBS paper leak. The double-engine government is attacking the youth with double power,” Kharge added.
