China’s top memory chip maker CXMT narrows the technical gap between leader Samsung, Hinix, and Micron.

Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT), a major producer of China’s dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips (CXMT), has expanded its manufacturing technology to 16 nanometers and narrows the gap with the industry giant. Samsung ElectronicsSK Hynix and Micron Technology.

According to the report, the CXMT has made a “big progress” from the 23nm G1 generation node and the 18nm G2 G2, which is approaching the world’s worldwide rivals in South Korea and the United States.
