Immigration, Refugees, and Citizens’ Rights Canada (IRCC) announced that a new immigration pilot for home care workers will open on March 31, 2025. These new pilots have been collaborated with IRCC with Canada’s Home Care Pilot.
These pilot programs replace the previous permanent (PR) route for caregivers who have expired.
A qualified home -care worker can receive permanent residence by arriving through these new routes.

Who is qualified through these new routes?
Foreigners must be qualified as a new and reinforced care worker pilot
Based on the Canadian benchmark (CLB) scale, it has the official language ability equivalent to level 4. It holds something equivalent to a Canadian high school graduation certificate. I have a recent and related practical experience*; And I will receive a full -time employment offer for home care work.
*As of June 16, 2024, the previous candidate for the former home care worker immigration program required a six -month experience to obtain a permanent residence qualification.
IRCC has not yet announced any further details and qualitative requirements.

IRCC first announced on June 3, 2024 that it would open a new immigration pilot for home care workers. At that time, almost no details were given other than the qualification standard.
Shortly thereafter, on June 17, 2024, the Immigration Bureau closed his home child care provider pilot and home support worker pilots. The new home care worker immigrant pilot is replaced by the previous caregiver immigration route.

In the immigration level plan from 2025 to 2027, IRCC assigns a total of 10,920 new immigration hospitalization spots through the Federal Economic Pilot, and the new home care worker immigration pilot will fall. The assignment to this pilot is currently unknown, but IRCC needs to split these 10,920 immigrants in 2025.
