Tennis stars Boris Becker, Katie Boulter and Kim Cleagesters were showered in praise of Belinda Bencich after the maiden title as a mother. She defeated the American Ashlinloggers 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 to win her second Mubadara Abu Dhabi Open title since 2023.
The Swiss Tennis star took 13 months of maternity leave and returned to court last October after the birth of her first child. People led the Olympic gold medalists with congratulatory messages as they won three sets of nail bitters.
Former German tennis star Boris Becker praised her for victory.
“The incredible achievements of Belinda B.”

Katie Boulter also praised the Swiss star in an X post.
“What a woman.”
Former tennis star Kim Kleisters added two heart emojis to the comments on the video posted by the tournament’s official Instagram account.

Bencic’s opponent in the quarterfinals of Abu Dhabi Open, a Czech player who she lost in straight sets, showed love even after her title victory. She reposted a clip of Belinda and her daughter with tear-eyed emojis.

Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabert also commented on one of the WTA posts to show her love.
The tennis world was awe-inspiring as her new mother made an unexpected comeback after being set early on. She continued to score her first serve points since the second set and managed to clinch the title regardless of taking an MTO (medical timeout) and treating hand blisters.
Emotions overflow as Belinda Bensik closes her ninth ATP title

Belinda Bensic won her second title at the Mubadara Abu Dhabi Open two years later. She returned to court last year after serving as the birth of her daughter, Bella Fromkovic.
When she won the match, the players were seen getting emotional. The 27-year-old spoke at the post-game trophy ceremony, where her husband, Martin, thanked him for his support.
“I was really working so hard to come back and play. So, to win the title in front of my family, it’s really special. For my husband and daughter Bella, I love you so much. “I’m doing that,” she said. (After 5:30)
The Swiss player will return to the top 100 rankings after her victory and a fantastic performance at the Australian Open 2025.
