Jade Cargill was removed from WWE television in November, with reports that the former AEW star was seriously injured. It’s unclear at this time when she’ll be back in action, but PWInsider has provided an update on what she’s been up to during her time off.
According to reports, Cargill is spending time in Hawaii with his family. This update did not provide any information regarding her recovery from her injury, but previous backstage reports said Cargill was expected to be sidelined for at least three months.
That being said, there are also reports to the contrary claiming that Cargill’s absence from WWE is related to her working on non-WWE projects and is not an injury. If so, he could return to action sooner than the expected injury recovery schedule. With “WWE Raw” moving to Netflix next week and the Royal Rumble coming up, the company has a selection of high-profile events to reintroduce her to the WWE Universe.
Despite not appearing on television, Cargill is still one half of the Women’s WWE Tag Team Champions along with Bianca Belair. So if she comes back, she’ll probably play a key role. Additionally, the story of how she was taken off TV could lead to a revenge plot in which the champion is attacked by an unknown assailant. But for now, she seems to be enjoying her time away from WWE’s hectic schedule.
Cargill joined WWE in 2023 after leaving AEW, where he was the longtime TBS Champion. At the time, Cargill claimed he was leaving Tony Khan’s promotion to pursue the Hall of Famer on a bigger platform.
