TEJAS FIGHTER JET

Washington: India has signed a contract with the GE-414 engine GE for the indigenous Tahas fighter. However, after not selling the F-16 fighter to India, the United States is currently taking some serious questions. According to reports, American companies have delayed the supply of Taehas fighters for several months.

The company claims that it is difficult to get components. The Indian fighter plan is confused because GE’s delay is repeated. This is the time when enemy countries such as Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh are continuously developing five -generation fighters.

Currently, GE has built another major demand from India, and India says that it needs to pay a more US $ 50 million to the contract.

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (Hal) team is heading to the United States in response to GE’s request. During this visit, the Indian team talks with American companies on the GE-414 engine. India aims to determine the agreement by March by the end of the fiscal year. India is considering trading with the 99 GE-414 engine GE.

If this engine is selected as an Indian fifth generation fighter, this number may increase. According to iDRW reports, American companies are currently demanding additional $ 50 million.

TEJAS delays will stop planning MIRAGE, JAGUAR, and MIG

According to Indian authorities, GE’s technology relocation can benefit India with this sector. GE claims that if the indone does not complete the transaction, the possibility of technology transfer will increase significantly. As of 2023, the total contract could be $ 1 billion. HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) has reviewed the proposal by demanding some documents from GE. This GE engine is used in LCA TEJAS Mark 1a and Mark 2.

Note that GE’s engine distribution is delayed, which may delay the Indian LCA Mark 2 program, a 4.5-generation aircraft to replace MIRAGE 2000, Jaguar, and MiG-29 fighters. Is important.

India is aiming to achieve independence in the development of fighter jet by raising the engine from the United States, but GE’s delay seems to have stopped several projects. India is currently working on developing its own reliable engines and cooperation with global partners.

The GE engine transaction was part of this initiative. In a small country in the world, we have the ability to manufacture fighter engines. The United States has been trying to sell fighters to India for decades, but the successive governments in New Delhi have not approved such transactions.
