Amrita University and ASME will be holding Kollam’s Tech Fest

The American Association of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Student Section of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapetham, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapetham, hosted ASME EFX 2025, the premier technical festival that attracted over 300 participants from all over South India. The event featured cutting-edge competitions, workshops and expert talks, providing a platform for young engineers to showcase their skills.
The fest was launched by Ananthan Ayyasamy, founder of Tenkasi Semiconductors and former senior chip designer at Intel. The event includes Dr. Prabahara (CEO, CISAI and INNSPARK), Rajendran Nair (Asme Kerala Division), Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar (Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Sn Jyothi (Associate Dean, School of Engineering), and Swami Vishwanathamritha Chaithanya (Company and Industrial Relations) responsible for).
ASME EFX 2025 featured a variety of exciting competitions and workshops, including Neo circuits, drone obstacle races, elevator pitch competitions with $500 prizes, and flight forge workshops on UAV Fabrication. Other attractions included Robo Expo and Go-Kart Experience, providing hands-on learning opportunities for participants.
The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Karthik v Shankar, faculty coordinator at ASME, with the guidance of student Dev Krishna Thiyadi Baiju and vice-president Karthik G Krishnan. The fest concluded with a thank you vote by Dr. Arunkumar S, vice president of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
