In the Middle East, the state is fighting for the collapse of the Assad administration to affect Syria’s political transition. Neighborhood seven birds are set to be particularly influential. However, Arab Gulf countries also have a strong view of what should happen next. In this Mele, Europeans are trying to secure Syria’s comprehensive transition. The first thing that considers the Syrian’s interests can make the refugees return home and lead to a stable future of the country. To achieve this, Europeans must cooperate with all regional partners. Existing European bay relationships provide great possibilities to Syria, which can be worthy of stability, but more and more Europeans are forced to make the most of this opportunity.

Gulf countries turn 10 cents on

There is no doubt that many Gulf Arab countries have made practical last turn in Syria. For a few days prior to the fall of Bashar Al Assad, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed a solidarity with other members of the Gulf Cooperative Council, including Oman and Bahrain. The progress of Syria’s rebels has also raised great concerns in Saudi Arabia. Almost all the fears of GCC countries were in the complexion of Muslims of Hayat Taahir Alsham (HTS), a former Al -Qaeda affiliate. Only the media belonging to Qatar emphasized the HTS initiatives to keep a distance from Jihad over the border.

But now, the Gulf Arab countries share their common interests in trying to work on new Syria. They have expressed their willingness to test new HTS leadership. GCC’s interest is to enhance political, safety and economic relationships with Damascus, use it to deal with important questions, such as buying and selling captain drags and terrorism measures. In fact, they need to work on the promotion of political processes that want to secure international support, as they have been demonstrated in the Saudi Alabia Conference last month in Riyado. Syria ministers, Turkish and European representatives, including the top diplomat Kaha Crows in the European Union, were attending. Discussion focusing on releasing sanctions to accelerate humanitarian and economic assistance, with new emphasis on supporting Syria -led comprehensive political transitions. An important point emphasized by the participants was the rebuilding of Syria as a “unified and independent Arab nation” protected against terrorism and external attacks.

Saudi Arabia and UAE behind the unity show remain skeptical of HTS’s declaration of moderation and the ability to unify Syria.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates behind the unity show are skeptical of HTS’s declaration of moderation and unifying Syria. They are also interested in the influence of other urgent Islamic and domestic Turkey on the ground. They consider Turkey as an important regional issue for their influence. The two states do not want to see the appearance of Syrian and fear of Turkey in the northeast of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Army and Turkey. Despite these concerns, Abu Dhabi and Riyado recognize that if you want to ensure strategic interest in Syria, there is nothing to replace HTS and tests.

In Syria, the new HTS leadership itself has a clear interest in a partnership with the Gulf Arab countries. We are worried about the diplomatic support of political transition, re -integration into Arab camp, and probably the most important thing, economic and reconstruction to stabilize the country. Riyad, Abu Dhabi, and Doha were selected as three feet for the first international trip by the caretaker, the Minister of Defense, and the director of Intelligence. In cooperation with Turkey, Qatar has already stepped up by promoting the resumption of Damascus Airport, the first country that resumed the normal flight to Syria. Doha also offered to provide electricity support in cooperation with Ankara and to support the payment of public sectors. Saudi Arabia is also seeking an increase in international diplomatic grants and releasing Western sanctions. Given the continuous concerns about the character of HTS Muslims, it seems that only the UAE is maintaining an approach that hesitates.

Why Europeans should cooperate with Gulf countries

Europeans should have the opportunity to establish a joint status with the Gulf for the future of Syria. Europeans are not set to become major players in the near future of Syria, but now they develop stable Syria that contributes to regional stability, which is the foundation of extreme and spontaneously. Return to refugees who share important interest with the Gulf Arab countries in making things possible.

EU’s strategic partnership with the Gulf offers the basics of shared strategies for Syria. The country is identified as an important regional problem for adjusting Europe and the Gulf. The first step built in the Riyado gathering in January is to agree to the political message shared by the EU and the Gulf Arab leader when involving HTS. Both need to lay out a common political commitment for the comprehensive Syrian -owned transition process, revealing that engagement and support rely on this stabilization trajectory. They should also take both Turkey and Israel to end unstable military intervention, which takes a risk of migration.

In addition, two regional blocks need to work closely to deal with Syria’s immediate needs, especially in response to the provision of important services, especially in the country with economic and humanitarian support in Japan. They need to change funds that have already increased for assistance and map how they can move forward with reconstruction support if they have a comprehensive transition. Arab Gulf countries can provide the most significant funds in this regard, but Europeans can work hard to release Western sanctions if Damascus meets important steps. Masu. After Washington issued a sanctions rescue license for sanctions, the EU approved a political roadmap for temporary and conditional easing of a series of sanctions to Syria, which began with the energy of the country and transportation. The EU needs to move at a larger speed to implement this roadmap. After that, EU and GCC need to work to ensure effective implementation on the ground. In addition, in partnership with Türkiye so that international efforts are pushed up in the same stable direction. However, these procedures are welcomed, but the Gulf Arab countries are reluctant to invest a great deal of reconstruction and long -term growth without lowing more comprehensive Western sanctions.

Both Europe and the Gulf Arab are urging them to reform, refuse, and unify Syria. Both blocks are interested in preventing HTS from rotating U, and stopping Muslim groups that are more steeper, including Jihade, into a new conflict. To prevent Syria from becoming a new unstable theater, a strong relationship between Europeans and the Gulf Arab partner is essential.

The European Diplomatic Council is not in a group. The ECFR publisher represents only the individual’s views.
