ScorePlay, an artificial intelligence service for sports clips, has raised $13 million in Series A funding, the company announced Tuesday.
Investors on the sports storytelling platform include Harry Stevings, founder of the 20VC venture capital fund, Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six VC Firm, NBA Star Giannis AnteTokounmpo, and former Formula One champion Nico Rosberg , including former captain of Soccer Star and Us Women’s National Team. ScorePlay’s technology is used by over 200 sports organizations around the world and helps teams streamline highlights and clips using AI. The company’s clients include NBA and NHL franchises as well as leagues such as Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League.
Ohanian told CNBC that he is not just an investor, but uses technology through ownership of the NWSL soccer and TGL golf teams.
“So many people have asked so many different leagues that they’ve achieved so many successes in emerging sports, and score play is one of the reasons,” Ohanian said. “For the past two years they have been doing more than they expected, and scoreplay has done this in the state here growing work.
“Since then, I’ve been so happy to have now put millions of dollars in my workplace,” he added.
Venture capitalist Stevings said the team and players are heading towards producing more of their own media and storytelling content. This tool allows you to attract fans in new ways.
“Speed is extremely important in sports media, and within an hour you can share highlights and keep up with a fast-paced news cycle,” he said.
Created in 2021 by Victorien Tixier and Xavier Green, ScorePlay’s services automatically tag and organize content, allowing teams to speed up delivery to everyone, from broadcasters and sponsors to athletes themselves. I’ll do it.

Scoreplay touts three times the year-on-year growth, and the company said it was profitable and total funding was $20 million.
Previous investors include Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s 35V family office and Eli Manning.
