Following Reliance, Amazon Web Services announced an $8.3 billion investment plan, part of a larger $12.7 billion strategy unveiled in May 2023.

In a landmark deal for the state, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government to invest Rs 3,050 crore in the state. In response, Jeff Bezos’ company Amazon Web Services has decided to invest $8.3 billion in the state by 2030.
The company said the investment is expected to add $15.3 billion to India’s GDP, strengthen the local data center supply chain and create 81,300 full-time jobs by 2030.
