Pakistan’s underdog batsman Ahmed Shehzad launched a scathing attack against the Mohammad Rizwan Brigades who suffered a disappointing seven-wicket defeat to South Africa in the second T20I, which cost them the series. This marks Pakistan’s fifth straight T20I defeat after losing 0-3 against Australia last month.

Shehzad relentlessly criticized the Pakistan team management for failing to address long-standing issues within the team. South Africa’s Leeza Hendricks’ blistering century (117 off 63 balls) led Pakistan to a thrilling victory, even as Saim Ayub’s brilliant 98-run knock helped Pakistan to a massive total of 206/5. Ta.

Shehzad said it felt like the South Africa A team was playing against the Pakistan A team.

“To be honest, it was a good game to watch as a spectator… but it felt like it was a South Africa A team playing a Pakistan A team, and there were players who had the ability to adapt to the top teams of both countries. .. who knows,” Shehzad wrote on his X handle.

“Just to be clear, this South African team was missing seven key players and we played to the best of our ability, just like we lost to the Australian kids in the T20 a few days ago. , we have lost the series yet again. Pakistan cricket is dying every day and everyone is sleeping from top to bottom. Too bad,” his post further added.

Pakistan suffers heavy defeat against South Africa by 7 wickets

Talking about the match, South Africa went down in history as a stunning victory over Pakistan, marking their first bilateral T20I series win in over two years. The Proteas overhauled Pakistan’s formidable 207-run target. Leeza Hendricks played a key role in South Africa’s big chase with a blistering century (117 off 63 balls), her maiden T20I century. His explosive knock gave South Africa a thrilling seven-wicket win with three balls remaining.

Until now, Pakistan had posted a good total of 206/5 thanks to opener Saim Ayub’s brilliant unbeaten 98-run knock, but in the end, their efforts were in vain.

Pakistan will be looking to avoid a series loss when they face South Africa again in the third and final T20I on Saturday, December 14, at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. After the T20I series, both teams will shift their focus to the three-match ODI series scheduled to begin from December 17 at Boland Park, Paarl.
