US-based Dell Technologies announced on Tuesday that it will provide key infrastructure support to India’s NxtGen AI Pvt Ltd to build the country’s first and largest dedicated AI factory.
As part of the agreement, the partnership between Dell AI Factory and Nvidia Solutions will significantly expand India’s national AI capabilities, enabling generative AI, agent AI, physical AI, and high-performance computing at scale across enterprises, startups, and government programs.
The company did not provide details about the plant’s location or when it would be built. Details of the project’s cost have also not been disclosed.
What’s in store for this deal?
Dell will provide the core infrastructure, including Vertiv liquid-cooled Dell PowerEdge XE9685L servers, to NxtGen AI’s new AI cluster to meet the growing demand for artificial intelligence as a service and massive GPU capacity.
This infrastructure will be provided through Dell Integrated Rack Scalable Systems, which are considered critical to India’s growing AI demands to scale its mission.
