Immigrant Mark Miller said Canada is not doing what US President Donald Trump’s administration is doing regarding illegal immigration.
Toronto: The Canadian government has now asked institutions of higher education to search for international students outside India, the largest source country, for research permits.
“I think universities and universities have gone to one or two source countries and always returned to the wells about it. I’m hoping for diversity in students. That’s what Indian students are saying is that they’re not the best and brightest. It doesn’t mean. Certainly (as one of the world’s largest populations, we would expect students to come from India,” said Mark Miller, a Canadian, who has immigrants, refugees and citizenship, last week. He spoke to local media during his interactions at the GTA.
He added, “We’ll put a little more effort into the prices of the acquisitions in universities and universities,” and “includes expanding resources by going to more countries to invest more in the talent we bring here.” According to the video of the interaction shared by Outlet Prime Asia TV.

Miller said Canada would not do what US President Donald Trump’s administration is doing about illegal immigration or adopt such rhetoric. But he said, “If you are here in an irregular way and have no right to stay, you either need to leave or you will be removed.”
He made it clear that graduate work permits (PGWPS) will be applied to people who have expired. He said it is necessary to understand that international students are coming to Canada for educational purposes, and that there is “no guarantee” of achieving permanent residency or Canadian citizenship.
With the PGWP expired, tens of thousands of international students will lose their immigration status this year, unless they transition to a resident or other visa. Miller admitted it would be a “ravaged ride” for the government, and Ottawa was closely “monitoring” the developing situation. That means many people have to leave the country. “That would mean that people’s hopes will be shattered to some extent,” the minister said.
