Malayalam actor Shinethom Chakko and four other people who were arrested in January 2015 after being attacked by police in an apartment in Kadhabantra, Kerala, were found on Tuesday (February 11, 2025) was acquitted by a court of law.
Ernakulam, the judge of the additional districts and sessions, failed to prove that the prosecution was levelled against them under the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985. I gave them acquittal. In the defendant, the court said the procedure adopted by police while the drug was seized and lapsed in subsequent investigations. No traces of cocaine were detected in blood samples in either of them.
Four other models were also arrested for being accused of the incident. Case studies began in 2018.
In their pleas, the prosecution relied on digital evidence and test reports, among other things, from the forensic lab. One of the arrested female models reportedly sourced cocaine from Goa.

The Nigerian citizen, who was allegedly supplying her with 10 gm of cocaine, was arrested by the police.
