A four-legged friend was recently seen in a business class cabin on a Singapore Airlines flight to Japan. The furry companions were caught up in social media footage relaxing in the cabin, enjoying the airline’s business-class lounge during the approximately five-hour flight.
Dalmatian Flight
The Instagram account “Sopttytheswissdalmatian” filmed the dog’s journey on video. Singapore Airlines
Business class cabin. The footage shows the dog remains calm and is well-behaved throughout the flight.
Dalmatian, named Spotty, is a fully registered service dog, according to his account. Not all airlines allow dogs to travel in cabins, so it is very rare to see dogs roaming through airplane cabins.
According to Singapore Airlines’ policy, only fully vaccinated government-certified service dogs are permitted in the cabin. Other than government-certified service dogs, they must fly in checked luggage or cargo.
It is worth noting that passengers traveling with their pets must prepare all the accompanying documents needed to ensure a smooth journey. Singapore airlines only allow cat and dog carriages. However, passengers must ensure that cats and dogs do not belong to a prohibited breed or are pregnant.
Luxurious Air Trips for Pets
The dog discovered in a business class cabin comes months after news broke about the launch of Bark Air, a new private airline for four-legged passengers.

Bark Air is a private and promising charter airline specially catered for dogs. Here’s what I write on the official website:
“Bark Air is here to deliver truly 100% dog-friendly airlines. We first built a flight experience for dogs. Bark dog-friendly flights are primarily Gulf G5 and I use the direct airline that operates the G4S.”
The airline took off for the first time in May 2024 from Westchester County Airport in New York City to Vanneis Airport in Los Angeles. Some varieties and their people were on a Gulfstream G5 private jet. Commenting on the news, Burke’s Chief of Staff Katherine Enos said:
“There was a mix of breeds on board, including Chihuahuas, Golden Retrievers, and Dachshunds. I’m happy to report that there was no dog drama. There was also a dog played in the aisle while the little dog took a long nap. There was, dog-friendly cupcakes, chicken-flavored cappuccinos, dog champagne (chicken soup) also became friends, leading to a common obsession with the dog.”
The travel experience for your furry friends is designed to be seamless. On the day of the flight, the dog and its owner will arrive at the airport just 45 minutes before boarding. Check-in and security screening is a smooth and stress-free process, with no crates, pet carriers or long lines, making it quick and hassle-free. Currently, the company serves the metro areas of New York City, Los Angeles, London and Paris.
Bark Air is the first private charter company to provide specially tailored services for dogs, but most of the best private jet companies also offer pet services. Bark Air will face competition from other operators, such as Vistajet, which currently offers services that fly dogs comfortably.
