According to documents reviewed by the New York Post, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have directed hundreds of thousands of dollars from charities towards politically controversial figures.

According to public records, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hired “disinformation experts” who have worked for companies that have been involved in all major US elections since the 1990s, according to Democrats’ top parties. It has been shown that they have invested heavily in the sources placed in.

The move could further strain Prince Harry and his family, particularly after his younger brother, Prince William, recently met with former President Donald Trump. British media also reported that King Charles had maintained good ties with Trump since his presidency, and that Trump himself had publicly expressed support for both royals, the report further said.

The Archewell Foundation, a California-based nonprofit founded in 2020 by Harry and Meghan, allocated $146,500 in 2023 to Democrats’ “good” expert Giole Craig .

Also, according to public records, Archewell donated $25,000 to Brooklyn’s Mercy Lab School, where Craig joined the board in 2024. Additionally, the federal filing reveals that Craig received $120,000 from the foundation in 2022.

Craig, 33, previously worked for Washington, D.C.-based research firms Greenberg, Quinlan and Rossner. A recognized election strategist, she confronted the senior director of digital strategy in 2016 and later served as vice president from 2018 to 2021.

The company’s website highlights Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential victory and its role in the ongoing efforts to support his clients in “campaign, win, govern, victory.” Reports say that during the final election cycle, the company worked to counter negative commentary about Joe Biden’s age and his family.

Craig explained her expertise in her LinkedIn profile, saying that she “designs and deploys wise social listening strategies for political candidates, civil servants, community leaders and corporate leaders to maintain the attack.”

Archewell also put $90,000 on Markup News Inc., a New York-based nonprofit supported by Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist and the public association foundation of billionaire Democratic donor George Soros. I have made a donation.

The foundation’s financial support for progressive democratic causes has sparked criticism. Nile Gardiner, a conservative Heritage Foundation fellow, is seeking council scrutiny for Archewell’s contributions.

“Harry and Meghan still hold the royal title and should never be involved in political activities,” Gardiner said. “That’s outrageous.”

Archewell’s biggest donation, $250,000, was sent to Women’s Wellness Space, a Pennsylvania-based charity founded in 2023 by Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden. . Opened in 2024, the organization focuses on supporting women affected by trauma.

The foundation also paid $155,050 for “Program Strategic Services” to Harley Lafran, a company run by former Buckingham Palace aides Beth Helihee and Clara Lafran.

A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told the New York Post: The donations are misplaced because donations focused on women’s mental health to Ashley Biden’s nonpartisan nonprofit organizations, or because they hired consultants who specialize in digital safety.

“The Duke and Duchess are committed to investing in people and initiatives that really make a difference.”

Speculation about Meghan’s political ambitions continued, especially after she and Harry traveled to New York in 2021 to meet prominent Democrats, including Gov. Kathy Hotchul and then Mayor de Blasio. That same year, reports revealed that he also made a private video call with California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Meanwhile, Trump was openly critical of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. When asked about allegations that Harry may have misrepresented information about his US visa application, Trump dismissed the issue, saying:

“I’ll leave him alone. He has enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible,” he told the Post recently.
