John Jones, the face of MMA’s dominance in sports, is a unanimous goat in the opinion of the UFC and games intellectuals. With almost 20 years of activity, it’s an incredible fact that the current UFC heavyweight champion remains undefeated. The only loss registered in his name came against Matt Hamill. It’s not a traditional loss, but a result of disqualification using an illegal 12-6 elbow, and a move that was subsequently removed from the list of banned techniques in the sport.
MMA fans are always craving a good fight, so the desire to witness John Jones encounter his match remains in the store. But so far, no one has been able to make the pound’s mainstay better. Nevertheless, the allegations by former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit are skeptical of the allegations.
Condit, who appeared on the Jaxxon podcast hosted by Jones’ former opponent Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, revealed that he frequently sparred Jones together at Jackson Wink MMA.
Condit confirmed that the former UFC fighter dropped Jones during the sparring session.
“Then when he sat in his punch and started to find his strength, I stopped doing it.”
He continued: “One morning, I think it was like a Tuesday morning sparring at 9am. We’re there, chipping and tapping. We’re I’ll get this guy.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Adlan Amagov. He’s Chechnya and he’s fought a few times in the UFC. In his final battle, they took their opponents to the stretcher. I did.
“But he finished a lot of people. He was like a spinning back kick guy and he f****ed me.
“And I think in the round or two, he hit John with that spinback kick.”
Jackson asked if the kick had dropped Jones, and Condit responded with affirmation.
After moving to Moscow as a youth from the war-torn Chechnya Republic of Russia, Amagov began training with MMA legendary Emelianenko.
