India’s Anshrjubri returns to the Octagon as Uttarakhand MMA fighter suffered a brutal knockout in just 19 seconds at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at Sydney’s Kudos Bank Arena on Sunday It ended with disappointment.
Competing in early qualifying for UFC 312, Jubli faced local favourite Quillan Salkilld.

The 35-year-old had been fighting for the first time in over 470 days, but was unable to withstand Salkild’s early attacks. A powerful right hand crashed Jubli onto the canvas, urging the judge to intervene and immediately halt the contest.
The decision sparked some controversy, questioning whether the suspension was premature.
Jubli made his UFC debut in Abu Dhabi in October 2023 with UFC 294, but lost to Mike Breeden. He is only the second Indian male fighter to secure a UFC contract after Bharat Khandare.
