Harshit Rana has returned from a tough start to his Indian ODI career, winning three wickets in Nagpur’s first game vs. England. Lana hit 11 and 26 runs in the first and third overs respectively, but then came back to pick up wickets from Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Liam Livingston. Rana revealed that chatting with Indian captain Rohit Sharma and a few subsequent tweaks made all the difference in his ODI debut. In the third over, Hersitt was criticized for 26 runs by the English opener and his former Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) teammate Phil Salt.
“They were just looking for a room. Their only opportunity to release their arms and attacks was when they got some space. So it was Rohit Bhaiya (Rohit Sharma). , I said I should bowl as tightly as possible, and I tried to do it,” Lana explained.
After being moved in KKR’s Indian Premier League (IPL), Rana rose to the Indian team’s ranks and made her international debut in all three formats of games over the course of three months. Lana named it “Dream Life.”
“It’s a dream life, but I’ve worked really hard for this and I feel like I’m finally enjoying the reward for that effort,” Lana said.
Rana was entrusted with another person to Rohit Sharma during her power play and delivered two wickets into the space of four balls.
Rana first snatched Ben Duckett’s wicket after an astonishing catch by fellow debutant Yashasvi Jaiswar.
After just three balls, a sharp short ball from Lana looked at Harry Brook gloves and gloved to KL Rahul behind the stump.
India won the match in over 11 overs with four wickets after limiting the UK to just 248.
