The Ministry of Home Affairs has partnered with IBM to provide an expired emergency service network. The Emergency Service Network (ESN) is an LTE radio communication network and is currently being developed in the UK to provide unified communication into UK emergency services. The purpose is to replace the existing TETRA -based Airwave network in 2026. As a new user service supplier, IBM is responsible for the design, build and system integration of the ESN platform.
