The Emergency Service Network (ESN) is an LTE radio communication network and is currently being developed in the UK to provide unified communication into UK emergency services. The purpose is to replace the existing TETRA -based Airwave network in 2026. However, the date is seven years after the planned time of 2019, and the appointment of IBM, which supports the provision of ESN, is performed after a series of delays from the previous suppliers.
However, providing technology that has improved urgent services is an important part of the government’s promotion of the government to make the street safer. As a result, the incumbent government promises to provide projects as soon as possible and save their lives as a result. Minister of Polishing, Dame Diana Johnson, will have a regular conference to confirm that the project is spending time and money.
Johnson commented: You have to do as much as possible to maximize the possibility of success. In order to secure this, communication between the forefront staff is important. The government is working vigorously to support the project and has confirmed that it will be provided in a timely and cost -effective way. IBM is an important part of the emergency service network online. ”
ESN will implement the next generation of the next generation of prompt, secure, safe voice, video, and data communication, so that emergency services work in tandem so that they can adjust their efforts to protect and support ordinary members. Similar technologies have already been deployed in countries, including the United States, Canada and South Korea.
As a new user service supplier, IBM is responsible for the design, build and system integration of the ESN platform. The company’s expertise is improved for mission -critical services and is the basis for securing more efficient communication functions. IBM will do this in cooperation with other partners, including Samsung Electronics, Ericsson, FulriCentis, Exponental-E, and Palo Alto Networks.
