Axis Bank is offering FD interest rates of 3% to 7.25% to the general public for a period of 7 days to 10 years on amounts below Rs 3 core. Banks offer interest rates ranging from 3.5% to 7.75% for senior citizens. The bank has fixed the effective date of FDS interest rates till January 27, 2025.

The interest rate for deposits of less than Rs 3 crore in the general category depends on the length of maturity of the deposit starting from January 27, 2025. AxisBank offers an interest rate of 3% on FDS for a period of 7 to 29 days and offers an interest rate of 3.5%. Rate for fixed deposits from 30 to 45 days, interest rate for deposits from 46 to 60 days is 4.25%, interest rate for deposits from 61 to 87 days is 4.5%.

For fixed deposits for a period of 88 days to less than 6 months, an interest rate of 4.75% is offered. For deposits from 9 months to less than 1 year, the interest rate is 6%.
For long-term deposits from 1 year to less than 15 months, Axis Bank offers 6.7%, while the highest rate is 7.25%, excluding deposits from 15 months to less than 2 years. For terms over 5 years over 2 years, the rate decreases slightly to 7.1%, with deposits from 5 to 10 years earning 7%.
