Popular podcaster Joe Rogan, who supported Trump in his White House campaign, said Trump is not affiliated with any political party and is not a Republican.
Popular podcaster Joe Rogan, who supported Donald Trump in the White House race and arrived at the inauguration this week, explained that he is not affiliated with any political party and is not a Republican.
“I don’t consider myself a Republican. I don’t consider myself a Democrat,” he said on The Joe Rogan Experience. “I consider myself an American.”
He added that Democrats support “a lot of things” that “make a lot of sense to me” and that “there are a lot of things that I believe in that Democrats believe in.” But he said he also supports some Republican positions.
“And the idea that you have to ignore something that means something to you because it comes from the wrong team is just stupid,” Logan said.
In addition to labeling President Trump’s inauguration as “weird,” the comedian and UFC analyst argued that those loyal to only one party are misguided.
Joe Rogan’s remarks infuriate netizens
Logan’s comments prompted a backlash from netizens on social media, with several users criticizing him for his hypocrisy since supporting Trump in the presidential election.
“He literally supported Trump. Isn’t that what ‘picking a side’ means?” ” one X user wrote.

“He’s lying. He joined the team. He called this a ‘Russia collusion hoax.’ He brought Elon and Trump in to lie and do propaganda right before the election,” another person commented. “I understand why. I saw it happen after he contracted COVID-19. I’m so disappointed because he used to be my hero.”
“This is how politics works!” chimed in a third user.
In a deliberate attempt to woo young male voters with appearances on comedy podcasts, Trump appeared on Rogan’s wildly popular show for three hours just before the 2024 presidential election. During a heartwarming conversation, Rogan laughed when President Trump couldn’t explain how Joe Biden stole the 2020 election from him.
